37_Christmas Break Work

Over Christmas Break, progress was made on the Electrical System’s Multisim Schematic.  Taking Taylor William’s advice to use just one switching regulator for the 3.3V line instead of a switching regulator and a linear regulator, I was able to finalize power regulation circuits (Figure 1).  The company that manufactures these regulators provides a tool to calculate the values for the peripheral parts; it was used to come up with component values (not shown in the image) for the regulator’s supporting parts.  To save space in the main electronics housing box, the power regulation circuit may be placed in the battery box, so that a multi conductor cable with 7V, 3.3V, and GND will connect the battery box and the main electronic house.
